Hello everyone,
It's that time of the year, when families and friends gather to celebrate Thanksgiving and share stories, commentary, jokes and lots of good food. It's also a time to remember those who have past and cherish the time spent with them.
Although I painted "Once Upon a Time" a few years ago, this seemed the right time to add it to the collection on St. Louis Photos and Fine Art. It is a reflection of happy times and good memories shared while sitting on a bench in Tower Grove Park with my late husband.
It was painted with a palette knife once used by my grandmother Stella Malone, also an artist and an amazing cook. We were never late for the annual Thanksgiving dinner as her pies were legendary. Perhaps I was channeling fond memories through the bright happy colors, deep textures and energetic strokes. It's a small painting (12" x 16"), but full of love and gratitude for my family.
It's also that time of the year when everyone is gearing up for the holidays. Whether it's for yourself or a gift for a family member for the holidays, I hope you find a meaningful piece for your wallspace.
